For the first time, the pilgrimage felt it was important to offer preparation time for our Able pilgrims. We recognise that many of you do not travel on the train and therefore you may not know any other pilgrims. As well as having the opportunity to meet fellow pilgrims, it will be a time of reflection and prayer, exploring the meaning of pilgrimage and introducing the year's theme
Cathy Kay one of our helpers, she has run both the Brighton and the London marathons this year to raise money for the pilgrimage. Please sponsor her. She finished the Brighton Marathon in 6:28:41 and the London Marathon in 06:26:53.
This summer, Luke de Quay, Rob Owen and John Watts are cycling over 850km to Lourdes to raise money for the pilgrimage. For the last few years the three of them have been volunteering on the A&B Lourdes Pilgrimage, assisting sick, elderly, and disabled pilgrims. This year we wanted to do something extra to raise money for this charity.
